PRINCETON Thomas Edward Phillips, 76, of the Old Athens Road, Princeton died Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Born on February 10, 1942 in Lerona he was the son of the late Troy Preston Phillips and Maude Keaton Phillips.
Tom enjoyed being outside whether it was construction work, logging, running heavy equipment, hunting, gardening or raising his chickens.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Phillips.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Catherine Elaine Phillips; Four children, Eddie Phillips and wife Cindy, Terri Fredeking and husband Bill, Roger Phillips and wife Sheri and Anita Watson and husband Bobby; Four grandchildren, Sarah Obenauer and husband Alex, Corbin Fredeking and wife Jessica, Will Fredeking and Deana Sturgill. Four siblings, Wilbur Phillips, Edith Wickline, Arnold Phillips and wife Carolyn and Rita Draper; Several nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton with Pastor Eugene Hazelwood officiating.
