Ted Gordon Black, 77 of Bland, VA, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at his home.
Born on June 5, 1940 in McComas, he was a son of the late John Sylvester and Mary Addie Dunford Black. He had been a resident of Bland for 18 years and was a retired foreman for New River Casting Company and was also a former coal miner. He was a veteran of the US Air Force.
Survivors include: Wife: Janice Nault Black of the home; 2 sons: Timothy Duane (Alesha) Black of Bluefield, WV, Stephen Jay (Priscilla) Black of Bland, VA; Daughter: Twyla Black Noel Burger of CA; 6 grandchildren; Brothers: Wayne Black of Bluefield, WV, David Black of Salisbury, MD; Sisters: Judy Grose of Bluefield, Norma J. Graham of Christiansburg, VA.
Memorial services will be conducted on Friday at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Minister Paul Delida officiating.
Friends may call prior to the services on Friday, from 1:00-2:00, at the funeral home.
