Born December 24, 1938 in Pocahontas, Virginia, he was quickly nicknamed Pete which he carried throughout his life. He was a proud Pocahontas Indian, graduating from Pocahontas High School in 1956. He earned a Bachelor's degree from East Tennessee State University and quickly found sales to be his calling, spending most of his career working for Blizzard's, Inc. and served as President of Bluefield Hardware Company before retiring from Dan Corp, Inc. Until the time of his death, he was serving his second term as a Bluefield, Virginia Town Council Member where he worked diligently to try to bring more commerce and jobs to the Southwest Virginia area.
He was a third-generation member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church where he loved attending mass and was involved in the preservation of this historic church. Pete was a man dedicated to his family, faith, friends, and community. His greatest joys were being with this family and cheering on his grandchildren. His bold laugh and cheerful whistle will be terribly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Saturday, January 13th at 11am at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Pocahontas, Virginia officiated by Father Dan Brady.
