PRINCETON - Shirley Jean Richards, 61, of Princeton died Wednesday, November 1, 2017. Born May 20, 1956 at Bluefield she was the daughter of the late Cecil Berkley Dickerson and Mildred Harris Dickerson. She was a member of the Princeton Church of God. She was a former cook at Cracker Barrel in Princeton for 22 years and enjoyed crocheting and reading.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. "Tucker" Richards; two brothers, Mickey Dickerson and Cletis Dickerson.
She is survived by her mother-in-law, Betty Richards of Princeton; two daughters, Sherri Black and husband Aaron of Yards, VA and Kathy Combs and husband Bert of Princeton; four grandchildren, Dera St.Clair, Jessee Thompson, William "Billy" Black and Bryton Combs; two great grandchildren; one brother, Ray Dickerson of Princeton; five sisters, Linda Farmer and husband Cleo, Marcella Perdue and husband David, Tiny Conner and husband Lawrence, Renee Vance and husband David all of Princeton and Sue Thomas of High Point, NC.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel with Pastor Randy Clark officiating. Burial will be private.
Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour.
