Shelby Nadine Pennington, 77, of Princeton died Monday, August 14, 2017 at Marley Smith's Personal Care Home in Bluefield. Born February 4, 1940, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Enoch and Elsie Farmer Cecil. She was a lifelong resident of Princeton and was a member of Kee Street United Methodist Church in Princeton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Eugene Pennington.
Survivors include one daughter, Regina Ann Church and husband Davy of Princeton; one son, Michael Eugene Pennington of Princeton; three granddaughters, Amanda Lewis and husband Michael, Kayla Ball, and Savannah Ball; two great-grandchildren on the way; three brothers, Buddy Cecil and wife Deborah of Pulaski, VA, Calvin Cecil and wife Esther of Lashmeet, Larry Cecil and wife Beatrice of Princeton; and two sisters, Marietta Johnston and husband "Boog" of Pulaski, VA, and Joyce Shoda and husband Norman of Princeton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017, at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Bill Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour Saturday.
