Ruth Mae Johnson, 90, of Princeton died Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born October 23, 1927 in Marmet, WV she was the daughter of the late Lee Berry and Laura Workman Berry.
Ruth was retired from the Woodner Hotel in Washington, DC. She had been a resident of Princeton since 1992 moving here from Temple Hills, MD.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Johnson, Sr.; two sons, David Abe Gordon and Jerry Johnson; one daughter, Tina Johnson; and five brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Ernest Johnson, Jr. of Laurel, MD and Earl Johnson and wife Caroline of Bowie, MD; one daughter, Joan Butler and companion Dale May of Princeton; twelve grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; and one brother, Burly Berry and wife Betty of Pinch, WV.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Larry Dyer officiating. Entombment will follow at the Chapel in the Wildwood in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the service hour on Thursday.
