Ruby Juanita's Story
Ruby Juanita Sexton Walker, 89, of Princeton, passed away Monday, October 16, 2017 at Princeton Health Care Center.
Born June 11, 1928 at Mallory, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Stella Bailey Sexton.
Ruby was a retired secretary who loved the Lord, having attended the Rich Creek Baptist Church, Spanishburg. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading her bible, cooking, sewing quilts, and working in her yard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Zionel E. Walker.
Survivors include her daughter, Yvonne and Bennie Morgan, of Justice, WV; son, Randy and Beth Walker, Kernersville, NC; granddaughters, Monica and Lyndon Cook, of Weaversville, NC, and Sarah B. Walker, of Kernersville, NC; grandson, Andrew L. Walker of Kernersville, NC; and Danny Woodson, Chicago, Il, who was special to her heart; great grandchildren, Morgan Cook, Kylie Cook and Tristan Cook.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory with Pastor Ralph Calfee and Pastor Jamie Mattox officiating. A committal service will follow in the Wilson Family Cemetery, Justice, WV with Pastor Jim Nagy and Pastor Charles May officiating. Those wishing to attend the committal service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:00 p.m.
Friends may visit with the family Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Family & friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Appalachian Teen Challenge, P.O. Box 980, Athens, WV 24712.
