Roy Lee Lane, 92, of Princeton died Monday, July 31, 2017 at Ridgecare in Princeton. Born June 2, 1925 in Iaeger, WV he was the son of the late Charles Guy Lane and Viola Thomas Lane. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II. Roy was a retired molder at West Virginia Armature Company and then retired from the Mercer County Courthouse as a custodian. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Princeton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold L. Lane, Dr. Charles E. Lane, Ralph Lane, and Robert M. Lane; and one sister, Pauline Jones. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Survivors include his wife, Inabell Elizabeth Six Lane of Princeton; one son, Richard Steve Lane of Princeton; and two daughters, Teresa K. Hill and husband Steve of Princeton, and Lisa D. Wright and husband Kent of Knoxville, TN; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 4, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Elder Joe Besenyei officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton from 10:00 AM until the service hour on Friday. Those attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM.
