Roy B. Hazelwood, 76 of Princeton passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 at his residence.
Born in Tazewell, Virginia on May 24, 1941 he was the son of the late Walter David and Maundie Jane Hazelwood.
Roy was retired from the WVDOH with 28 years of service. He enjoyed working, camping and watching westerns. He was loved and will be missed by those who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Gail Hazelwood, two brothers, John and Claude Hazelwood and two sisters, Elsie Ruble and Mildred Hazelwood.
Survivors include two children, Carmen Hazelwood who took care and lived with him and her companion Donald Ayers and Raymond Hazelwood and his wife Rebecca. Special Granddaughter, Amy Marie Hazelwood, who was the apple of his eye. Nieces, Brandy Delarosa and husband Eric and Tiffany Flanery.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 1:00 PM from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton. Burial will follow in the Shumate-Hazelwood Cemetery near Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may visit with the family Thursday from 12 Noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
