Rose's Story

PRINCETON Rose Marie Craft, 89, of Kirby Addition Road, Princeton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at her residence.
Born June 17, 1928 in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Carmen Victoria Torres Palleja.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter and sister, Rose and her husband Walter owned and operated Walter Craft Upholstery for over 50 years. She was a seamstress for Maidenform for 28 years and worked as a Bus Aide for the Mercer County Board of Education for 10 years. Rose and Walter loved to travel the country in their Winnebago.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Marie Echevarria, Victor Palleja, Robert Palleja and Esther Diaz.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 70 years, Walter Craft; Two loving daughters, Rose Lee Craft of Princeton and Linda Sue Cooper and husband Keith Randall of Bluefield; Four grandchildren, Melissa O'Brien, Adam Poole, Brian Cooper and Spring Pinter; Nine great-grandchildren; Two siblings, Carmen LaSanta of St. Louis, MO and Teresa Baez of Pacific, MO; Several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
