Robert's Story

Robert DeQuino, 89, of Bartley, WV died Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at his residence. Born February 17, 1928, in Hemphill, WV, he was the son of the late Lewis and Myrtle Shrader DeQuino.
He was a resident of McDowell County most of his life. He was retired from the U.S. Army with twenty four years of service. He also worked in the coal mines and also did auto body work. He was a member of the Jesus Church, Bartley, WV.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tony and Edward DeQuino, two sisters, Rose Baugar, and Martha Rose.
Survivors include, his wife, Elsie Hild DeQuino, of the home, two stepdaughters, Samantha Dequino of Bluefield, WV, Sherry Willer of Palm City FL, one stepson, Russell Tabor of Bluefield, WV, two brothers, Lewis DeQuino, of FinCastle, VA, Johnny Dequino and wife Susie of Bluefield, WV, one sister, Mary Brown of Sophia, WV.
Funeral Services will be conducted, Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 12 Noon, from the Jesus Church in Bartley, WV, with Pastor Pete Woods, Pastor Jessie Woods, and Pastor Mack McGary officiating, burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, in Bluewell, WV; where Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call Friday, January 12, 2018, from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Jesus Church in Bartley, WV.
