Rita Evelyn's Story
Rita Evelyn Fletcher Hardman, 88, of Plover Place, Quail Valley, Princeton, formerly of Hudson, FL, Pineville, WV, Glenville, WV and England, died Monday, March 5, 2018 at her residence.
Born June 10, 1929 in North Hamptonshire, England she was the daughter of the late Norman Charles and Evelyn Lillian Craven Fletcher.
In 1953, Rita came to the U.S. with the love of her life Hayward G. Hardman whom she met while he was stationed in England with the U.S. Army.
Rita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister aunt and friend. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed her flowers, gardening and knitting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Hayward G. Hardman.
Surviving are her loving children; Sharon Hardman of Naples, FL, Patricia Bradford and husband Sid of Morgantown, WV, Kim Boggs and husband Joe of Princeton,WV,
Carl "Butch" Hardman and wife Mary of Moundville, AL and Evelyn Gross and husband Chester of Bland, VA; One sister, Gillian York and husband Tony of Raunds, England; Twelve grandchildren; Twenty-five great-grandchildren; Four great-great-grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit with the family on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton. Private burial will be held later in the Florida National Cemetery.
