Reynard Randolph Frye, 88 of Rockwell, NC and formerly of Bluefield, VA, passed away Friday, October 20, 2017.
Born in Bluefield, VA, he was the son of the late Jahue and Elsie Compton Frye. He was a long-time member of Graham Christian Church. He loved going to baseball games and enjoyed traveling. Mr. Frye was a Korean War Veteran, serving his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Elks and the Pocahontas American Legion Post #14. Mr. Frye retired from N&S Railroad with 40 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings: Penny Lambert, Gleaves and Gordon Frye.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters: Sheila Harrison and husband, Phil of Landenberg, PA and Tina Roland and husband, Jeff of Salisbury, NC; sisters: June Cochran of Tucson, AZ, Cleo Kollmann of Tucson, AZ, Claudine Lynch of Columbus, OH; grandchildren: Stefani Peterson and husband, Logan, Staci Harrison, Chris Harrison and wife, Becky, Sara Maddox and husband, Warren and Justin Roland and wife, Elysia; great-grandchildren: Zora Maddox, Audrey, Mackenzie, Haylee.
A service to celebrate Mr. Frye's life will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Rev Gary Lyons officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday at Dudley Memorial from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.
