Rev. Lofton's Story
LIMA, Ohio Rev. Lofton P Delgado, age 66, was called home to the Lord, at 9:33 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at Lima Memorial Health System.
Lofton was born August 11, 1951 in Marion, VA, to Primitivo and Hazel Francis (Martin) Delgado. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. On August 11, 1995 he married Jo Lynn (Selby) Delgado who survives in Lima.
He was a graduate of Graham High School and Bluefield College in Bluefield, VA. He retired as a Senior Consultant with the Abreon Group after fifteen years of service. Lofton loved the Lord and witnessing to others. He especially cherished his family and loved spending time with them.
Survivors include six children, Kristin (Zachary Kiggins) Delgado of Beavercreek, Jacob (Laura) Delgado of Reynoldsburg, Joshua Delgado of Louisville, KY, Sarah (Joshua) Qualls of Hebron, Kyle Clum of Lima and Kori (Travis) Phipps of Ada; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth Qualls, Nicholas Qualls, Isabella Delgado, Abigail Qualls, Olivia Delgado, Savannah Delgado, Bohdi Kiggins and Ava Delgado; sister, Andrea (Robert) Gruver of Pickerington, in-laws Lawrence and Linda Selby of Lima; sister-in-law, Tracy (Jay) Risser of Lima and former wife, Mary Bowers of Dayton.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Union Chapel Missionary Church, 4869 Ada Road, Lima, Ohio 45801.
Funeral services will begin 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Union Chapel Mission Church, Pastors Mark Bayliff and Bernard Horn will officiate the service. Burial of cremated remains will be at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Chapel Missionary Church.
