Raoul Edward's Story
Raoul Edward "Eddie" Lilly, 69, died Wednesday August 9, 2017 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born August 23, 1947 in Princeton, WV, he was the son of the late Estel and Gladys Price Lilly. He was a retired truck driver, having worked locally for Overnite Transportation and most recently driving cross country for Marten Transportation. Truck driving was a job that he loved; he enjoyed being out on the road and getting to see the United States.
He was a graduate of Princeton Senior High School and a United States Air Force Veteran, having served with the 438th Fighter Intercopter Squadron at Kincheloe AFB MI.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents, his sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Gary Cooper; great-nephew Andy Lent, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is survived by his son, Ken Lilly of Blacksburg, VA; sister Jennifer Haynes and husband Sherman of Princeton; brother, Jack Lilly and wife Judy of Blacksburg, VA.
Services will be held at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton; Saturday August 19, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Reverend Tony Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Park Cemetery in Princeton.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
