MATOAKA — Randy Dean Crane, 49, of Matoaka, died Friday, April 7, 2017. Born February 4, 1968 in Princeton, he was the son of Judith Goins Crane Collins of Matoaka and the late Ronne K. Crane.
Mr. Crane was a 1986 graduate of Matoaka High School. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Dean Company in Princeton. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed riding four wheelers and gardening.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Crane of Hickory, NC; two grandchildren, Briahnna and Logen both of Hickory, NC; two sisters, Anita McCleese and husband Kevin of Matoaka and Amanda Hunter of Hiawatha; his step-father, Lee R. Collins of Matoaka; three special nephews, Robert, Dalton and Ronnie; and special friend, Laura Mistrik.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Cynthia Saunders and Pastor Gary Raulerson, officiating Interment will follow at the Crane Family Cemetery in Matoaka. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 10, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
