Polly Ann Jackson, age 77, of Richlands, Virginia passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 at the home of her sister, Mabel Jackson.
Polly was born August 3, 1940 in Richlands, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Kelly and Mary Blevins Jackson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
Polly lived in the Richlands area most of her life and served the community as an RN at Mattie Williams Hospital and the Clinch Valley Clinic. She was a faithful member of the Hill Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors are: Three Sisters: Mabel Jackson of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, Sue Peregoy of Mechanicsville, Virginia, Jean Sparks and husband, William of Birmingham, Alabama
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the second and fourth floor at the Clinch Valley Medical Center for the care they gave Polly. Sincere thanks to Legacy Hospice for the love and care they showed her.
Graveside services for Polly Ann Jackson will be conducted Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 12pm at the Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum Bldg #4 at Claypool Hill, Virginia with the Rev. Bill Fletcher and Kelly Joe Maynard officiating. Entombment will follow. Friends may call from 6pm to 8pm Tuesday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to Legacy Hospice, 1963 Second Street, Richlands, Virginia 24641; Hill Creek Baptist Church, c/o Peggy Altizer, 214 Philpot Avenue, Richlands, Virginia 24641; or cancer research.
