Paul Marvin Holdren, 85 of Princeton died Sunday, June 25, 2017, at Christian Center Assisted Living in Princeton.
Born in Glen Lyn, VA February 1, 1932 he was the son of the late Clay and Bertie Holdren. He was a retired driller with Anderson & Anderson Contractors in Princeton and was a member of the United Mine Workers. Paul was a 51 year member of Johnston Chapel Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, three brothers, Clayton Holdren, Fred Holdren and Delmar Holdren and two sisters, Estline Kluck and Betty Hailey preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Joan Lane Holdren; two sons, Rodney Holdren and wife Lynne of Pulaski, VA and Randall Holdren and wife Maxine of Peterstown, WV; two grandchildren, Kyle Holdren and Kelli Burton and husband Dustin; two sisters, Virginia Rossiter of Chillicothe, OH and Lula Alvarez and husband Docie of King, NC; three brothers, Phillip Holdren and wife Josephine of Rustburg, VA, James Holdren of Bluefield, WV and John Holdren and wife Diana of Princeton; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Paul will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at the George W, Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Dr. John King officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon to the service hour on Tuesday.
