Patricia Ellen James Mills

Patricia Ellen James Mills, 70, of Lashmeet passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 13, 2018. Born November 1, 1947 in Morgantown, she was the daughter of the late William and Patricia Johnson James.
She was a homemaker and member of the former Grace Presbyterian Church. As the matriarch of her family, she cared for everyone and spoiled her grandchildren. She could make anything grow with her green thumb and brought to bloom all parts of her full life by living her favorite quote, "If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden."
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Burwin James Wesley Mills and in-laws Burwin and Ruby Mills of Lashmeet.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Harry W. Mills, Sr.; children, Tricia Eileen Toler and husband Chris of Rock, Wayne Mills and wife Donna of Lashmeet, Brandon Mills and wife Leslie of Douglasville, GA, Veronica Mills of Stockbridge, GA and Lauren Grimm and husband Tommy of Lashmeet; brothers Robert James and wife Judy of Moundsville and Andy James; aunts, Nancy Vineyard of McDonough, GA and Patty Renzella of Glen Dale; special people she called family, "Mom" Mary Lemmon of Morgantown and "Sister" Sandra White of Lashmeet. She was Mamaw to 16 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a large extended family.
Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel with Pastor Norman Mills officiating.
Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 17 at McComas-Crotty Cemetery at Pinoak. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
