Pamlia Bernice's Story
Pamlia Bernice Ickes Haywood, age 69, of Georgetown, KY passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at her home.
She was born in Richlands, VA and was the daughter of the late John Sullivan and Helen Shinault Carver. She lived most of her life in the Richlands area before moving to KY where she lived for the past twelve years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter "Skeez" Ickes; one son, Kevin Ickes; and sister, Pat Carver Mullins.
She is survived by: Her Husband, Roger Haywood; Son, Brian Ickes of Lexington, KY; Stepdaughter, Leanna Michelle Johnson of Swords Creek, VA; Special Friend and Neighbor, Polly Roberts of Georgetown, KY; Daughter-in-law, Franka Ickes of Lexington, KY; Sisters: Wanda "Wendy" Wingo of Troutville, VA; Kokie Richardson and husband, Bill of Richlands, VA; Brother: Larry "Butch" Carver and wife, Charlotte of Vinton, VA; Sister in Law: Jane Farlow of Randleman, NC; Brother in Law: David Ickes of Randleman, NC; Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Three Grandchildren: Eleanor Ickes, Drew Ickes, and Sienna Spurlock; Two Great Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services for Pamlia Ickes Haywood will be conducted Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 11am at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Bill Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow at Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery in Richlands, VA.
