Norma Jean's Story
Norma Jean Bird Hull, 82 of Rocky Gap, VA passed to eternal peace Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Heritage Hall in Tazewell, VA.
Born in Eggleston, VA, she spent most of her life on her beloved Clearfork Creek in Bland County enjoying the mountains, gardening and country living. She was a member of Rocky Gap United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ardell Bird, her son, Rick Webb, sisters, Helen Bird and Lucille Overstreet; brother, Marcus Bird and nephew, John Bird; and her dear friends, Pat Davis, Harry "Ram" Hall, and Elizabeth Higginbotham, who she greatly missed.
Surviving are her daughter, Julie Johnson and husband Dick of Bluefield, WV; grandson, J. Adam Grogan and wife, Vicky of Princeton, WV; granddaughters, Savannah and Isabella Grogan of Princeton, WV; dedicated friend, Mary Ann Bird of Rocky Gap, VA and brother, Doug Bird of Tazewell, VA; nieces and nephews. Special thanks is extended to her care taker, Karen Earls and the caring staff on third station at Heritage Hall.
Pastor Rodney Lawson will officiate a private burial.
