Milton "Moe" Dye

Milton "Moe" Dye, age 71, of Richlands, VA, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN following a lengthy illness.
Milton was born in Richlands, VA and was the son of the late Havelyn and Edna Cox Dye of Russell County, VA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in Vietnam and was also a veteran of the Army National Guard. He had lived all his life in the Richlands area and was a member of the Casey-Shortt VFW Post #9640.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Hilda Lynch; and brothers, Mark and Larry Dye.
He is survived by: His loving wife, Sherry Lynn Trivett Dye; Daughters: Amanda Brown and husband, Charles of Abingdon, VA, Myranda O'Quinn and husband, Todd of Abingdon, VA; Son: Brian Dye and wife, Tammy of Radford, VA; Sisters: Alice Whitt and husband, Jack of Richlands, VA, Sue Lowery and husband, Eddie of Anderson, SC; Brother: Harry Dye and wife, Shirley of Doran, VA; Grandchildren: Morgan O'Quinn, Megan Cruey, Sarah Dye, Alexis Brown, Hannah Dye, Carlie McPeake, and Olivia Brown. A host of family and friends also survive.
Funeral services for Milton "Moe" Dye will be conducted Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, VA with the Rev. Doug Johnson and Rev. Leon O'Quinn officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, VA. Pallbearers will be: Jason Dye, Brian Dye, Todd O'Quinn, Rick Wilcox, Spanky Webb, Danny Earp, Randy Cruey, and Jack Whitt. Members of Casey -Shortt VFW Post #9640 will conduct military graveside rites.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
