Michael Patrick Pendleton, 64 of Boulder Park in Princeton died Friday, November 10, 2017, at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Bluefield July 21, 1953 he was the son of the late Addison Davis Pendleton and Rose Marie Malamisura Pendleton.
Mike retired after 40 years of service in both sales and management for Worldwide Equipment in Princeton. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Princeton. He was a graduate of Princeton High School and a member of Princeton Elks Lodge #1459.
Mike was an extremely versatile person. He loved playing basketball in his younger years and golf became his passion after 40. Mike developed many hobbies throughout his life. He studied magic and performed as "Mike's Magic Show" for a time. He took several creative writing courses through WVU and spent time writing books and poetry in addition to trying his hand in sculpture. He dearly loved his family and his many friends and the same passion he had for golf spilled over into every phase of his life. Mike will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by everyone he knew.
In addition to his parents two sisters, Janet Harmon and Carmella Robertson, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Karen Champion Pendleton; two sons, Michael P. Pendleton, ll of Basalt, CO and Derek A. Pendleton of Stuart, FL; two grandsons, Corey Pendleton of Stuart, FL and Alan Pendleton, who made his home with Mike and Karen for most of his life and Mike considered his third son; two brothers, Paul Pendleton and wife Linda and Joe Pendleton and wife Delores all of Princeton and his canine companion "Snowy".
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mike will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Deacon Don Hammond officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Synan, Johnny Mastrandrea, Randy Dove, Patric Dove, Brian Davis, Roger Buckner, Todd Donovan, Ryan Blankenship and Randy Terry.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM today.
Memorial contributions may be made to charity of choice for Cancer or Multiple Sclerosis.
