Mary Helen Asbury Adkins

Mary Helen Asbury Adkins, 73 of North Tazewell, VA died Monday, September 10, 2018 at her home.
Born August 17, 1945 at Tazewell, VA she was a daughter of the late Charlie Frank and Dorothy June Bowling Asbury. She was a member of Blacks Chapel Presbyterian Church at North Tazewell, VA. Mary was employed 37 years with Pyott Boone Electronics. She loved to shop and be on the go.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Lee Asbury and a nephew, Michael Keith Hamm.
The family would like to express special thanks to her caregiver, Wanda Wilcox, Kathy Mitchell of the Davis House, and the staff of Legacy Hospice.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Samuel "Sam" Adkins; son, Robert Adkins and wife, Carrie of Bluefield, VA; grandson, Blake Adkins; sisters, Daisy Larimer of Tazewell, VA and Cathy Hamm and husband, Mike of North Tazewell, VA; brothers, Charlie Joe Asbury and wife, Peggy of Tazewell, VA, Danny Asbury of Tazewell, VA, Mike Asbury and wife, Lynn, and Frankie Asbury and wife, Wanda all of Tazewell, VA; and special little friend, her dog, Princess.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA where funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM with Pastor Lawrence Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. Pallbearers are Roger Nelson, Gary Sergent, Charles Asbury, Ricky Sheets, Corran Sergent, and Chris Asbury.
