PRINCETON Mary Frances Harry, 82, of Clover Dew Dairy Road, Princeton died peacefully early Saturday morning, September 9, 2017 at her home.
Born September 30, 1934 at Sabine, she was the daughter of the late John William Dowell and Opal Irene Stewart Dowell.
For many years, Mrs. Harry worked at Hills Department Store and later retired from the Mercer County Board of Education as a Cook.
While her health permitted, she enjoyed traveling with her late husband all around this country. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Emmett Lee Harry, four siblings: Mary Ann Dowell, Stewart Thomas Dowell, John William Dowell Jr. and Carl Green.
Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Steven & Vickie Harry of Princeton, two grandsons: Justin Harry, Travis & Andrea Harry, along with two sisters, Shirley Jean Goode & husband Charlie of Bluewell, Peggy Tracy & husband Butch, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Ty Smith speaking. A time of gathering will be held from 6:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held Thursday, 10:00 A.M. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the cemetery.
