On Sunday August 5, 2018 on his 64th Birthday Mark Allen Thompson Sr., left this world the same way he entered it, in the arms of his heavenly father. Mark was a lifelong resident of Mercer County where he raised his family. Mark leaves behind his son Mark Thompson Jr. and his fiancé Brandi Moore of Princeton and his daughter Georgette Thompson and her boyfriend Harvey Addison of Oakvale as well as his girlfriend Donna Thomas of Oakvale.
Mark had 5 grandchildren that were the light of his life; Evan, Tyler, Chloie, Allison, and Owen.
Mark was preceded in death his parents Garnett and Phyllis Flannery Thompson as well as his infant brother Richard Thompson, and sister Sandra Burkes both of Mercer County.
He was survived by 5 brothers; Joe, Jimmy, Clyde, Wayne, and Gary, as well as 6 sisters; Tammy, Carol, Sue, Charlotte, Judy, and Fanny.
Mark enjoyed sports, he was a huge fan of his local football teams Bluefield Beavers and Princeton Tigers, he was personally a 2 time Golden Gloves boxing champion.
Services will be Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 11:00 am 1:00 pm, at Gospel of Light Faith Church in Kellysville, WV service to be officiated by Pastor Ginger Neely, dinner will follow at the church for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Gospel of Light Faith Church.

I knew mark when I went to Princeton High he was a great guy I know he is in a much better place now my prayers are out for the family

He was a sweet cuz ever time i seen him we talk about boxing he loved the sport and so do i he told me my grandson was gone to be a boxer and i think he was right bc that all he talks about. Cuz u will be miss on tell we meet agaain.#Boxing fan #love football.
