NEWHALL — Madeline Faye Boothe, 70, of Newhall passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 at her home.
Born September 12, 1946 in Excelsior, she was the daughter of the late Sam Amos and Mary Brooks Amos. She was a 1964 graduate of Big Creek High School. She was a member of Rebekkah's Lodge #90, and a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post 8413 of Squire.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Theryl Boothe; a brother, Kenneth Amos; and a grandson, Sgt. Brandon Asbury.
Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Lisa Asbury of Tazewell, VA, Melissa Lockhart and husband Duane of Newhall, and Krystal Hullette and husband Alan of Bedford, VA; a grandson, Nicholas Andrew Hullette of Bedford; a granddaughter, Kelly Perdue and husband Jason of Thompson Valley; great granddaughters, Haley and Madison Perdue of Thompson Valley; and special extended family members, Barb, Carol, Patty, Kristy and TJ. She was affectionately known as Meme by Ayla, Alivia, Hunter, Kellie, Aubrey, and all the neighborhood children.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, April 5, at 12 Noon in the Newhall Bible Church in Newhall with Pastor John Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memory Gardens, Bluefield, VA.
Friends may call at the church from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Mahone, Clifford Pennington, Jr., Doug Brewster, Harlan Grose, Darwin Grose, Jerry Stevenson, Jimmy Hart, Bradley Frost, T.J. Harman and Grover Mahone.
The Douglas Mortuary of Welch and War is serving the Boothe family.
