M Carlene Randall went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 29, 2017 at the age of 76, surrounded by her loving family. She grew up on her family's farm in Hope, Illinois. Carlene went to elementary school in a one room school house in Hope. She graduated from Armstrong High School where she was a cheerleader, band member and homecoming queen. Carlene attended the University of Illinois and lived in the 4-H house. She met and was married to the love of her life for over 51 years, Robert Randall. After graduating from the University of Illinois, Robert was employed as a Professor at Bluefield College in Bluefield, Virgina. Robert and Carlene raised their two daughters, Nicole and Dawn in Bluefield, West Virginia, during which time they were members of First Baptist Church in Bluefield, West Virginia, and Carlene worked as a Histotechnologist at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Upon Robert's retirement, he and Carlene moved to East Tennessee to be near Nicole's family. Carlene touched the lives of those around her by living out her faith in all areas of her life. She found ways to share her faith with others through Bible study, baking, sewing, and watercolor painting. She will be remembered for her contagious smile and gentle and kind spirit. Carlene was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Randall; daughters, Nicole Deann Randall Sloane (Richard) and Dawn Renee Randall; grandsons, Joshua Alan Sloane and Chase Randall Sloane; siblings, Patricia James and Mervin Jones; and many nieces and nephews and other extended family members.
