Lois's Story

BLUEFIELD, WV Our beloved mother, Lois Cauline Dillon, 88, of Bluefield, WV, went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her children and angels to receive her eternal reward on Thursday, March 1, 2018.
Born May 24, 1929 in Gratton, VA, she was a daughter of the late John Henry Yost and Lilly Williams Yost. Lois was a homemaker, and in the past, had worked at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in the Dietary Department. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Princeton, WV. She lived her life as an example by unconditionally loving God, her family, and her friends. Lois walked in total humility of Spirit.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Thomas Dillon in 1993; son, Thomas Garland Dillon; nine brothers and sisters; and two grandchildren, Tracy Renee LaFountain and Jason Lee Dillon.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Gay Wine and husband Patrick of Bluefield, WV, Reba Jessee and husband Robert of Princeton, WV, John David "Chip" Dillon and wife Julia of Bluefield, Christine Dillon of Bluefield, Cathy Anderson and husband David of Bluefield, VA, Carol Dillon Brock of Bluefield, Patricia Marchal and husband Ted of Bluefield, and William G. Dillon and wife Anita of Houston, TX; siblings, Eula Vest and husband Wilbur of Princeton, Mallory Yost and wife Linda of Lerona, WV, and Russell Yost and Dennis Yost and wife Virgie, all of Sandusky, OH; 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Mercer Funeral Home with her son, Rev. William G. Dillon and Pastor David Lusk officiating.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour.
Entombment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where her grandchildren, Thomas, Darren, Jody, John, Josh, M.L., and Austin will serve as pallbearers.
