Linda Gentry Wilson, 65 of Hemlock Hill, Bluefield, WV died Tuesday December 19, 2017 at Bristol Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
Born May 24, 1952 she was a lifelong resident of Bluefield.
Linda was a daughter of the late Clinton H. Gentry and Bertha E. Mullins Gentry.
She was a member of the New Life Vision Center in Princeton and was formerly employed by Platnick Brothers and the Greater Bluefield Community Center where she worked for many years in child care, and then became office manager. Linda built her life on her faith and was a very giving person. She enjoyed reading her bible and inspirational books and listening to gospel and oldies music. She was very involved in the National MS Society as both a patient and fundraising.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jordan Arianna Crawley.
She is survived by her husband Wayne Wilson of Bluefield; daughters Sheri DeLisi and husband Terry of Bluefield, VA and Susan Wilson of the home; a brother David L. Gentry of Bluefield; a granddaughter, Kimberly Ruble Hall of Pineville, WV; great grandchildren, Sophia and Victoria and her beloved pet, Feeny.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday at Mercer Funeral Home Chapel at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Jerome Powell officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the New Life Vision Center c/o Jerome Powell 221 Cardinal Avenue Princeton, WV 24740.
Linda's wishes are to be cremated following services.
