Lillie Mae Johnson White Lillie Mae Johnson White of Beckley, WV, formerly of Princeton, WV, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018.
Mrs. White was born on November 8, 1930, to the late Joseph and Blanche Moses Johnson.
She was a 1948 graduate of Princeton High School, and began her work career at Hickman's Pharmacy, later retiring from Lab Corp.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence B. White; five brothers, Fred, Bill, Sam, Paul and Cecil Johnson; three sisters, Madge Tolliver Zimmerman, Ida Alex and Marie Williams.
Left to cherish her memory include a brother, James Johnson of Ooltewah, TN; children, her son, Larry White (Ronda) of Church Hill, TN, her daughters, Paula Wheeler (Rev. Rob) of Oaklawn, IL, and Pamela Stanley (Matt), with whom she made her home in Beckley, WV; seven grandchildren, Adam White (Cat), of Hayes, VA., Lindsey White of Kingsport, TN, Ryan Wheeler (Tori), of Bloomington, IN, Rob Wheeler (Katie), of Centerville, MA, Rhett Wheeler (Maddy), of Falmouth, MA, Jessica Agee (Oliver), of Virginia Beach, VA, and Joshua McClung, of Beckley, WV; three step-grandchildren, Kathryn Wray (Jeremy), of Arizona, Rebecca Stover (David), of Beckley, WV, and Jonathan Stanley (Sarah), of Beckley, WV; ten great grandchildren, Cooper and Stella White, of Hayes, VA, Henley Starnes, of Kingsport, TN, Alexia, Zachariah and Isaac Wheeler, of Centerville, MA, Lily and Mary Wheeler, of Bloomington, IN, and Finn and Phoebe Stover, of Beckley, WV. A host of nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much, especially her "Florida Girls", with whom she traveled many places.
Friends may visit with family from 10 AM until noon on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley. At close of visitation, a short memorial service will be held, led by Rev. Robert Wheeler (son-in-law) and Rev. Rob Wheeler (grandson). Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton, WV.
In lieu of flowers, monetary gifts may be designated to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV, 25801, in memory of Mrs. Lillie White.
