Lesa Mae's Story

Lesa Mae Davis Morrison, aka "Pluby", age 50 of Winston Salem, NC, formerly of Tazewell, VA died Monday, November 6, 2017 at her home. Born February 27, 1967 at Richlands, VA, she was a daughter of Eugene Davis of Tazewell, VA and the late Barbara Harris Davis.
Lesa was a graduate of Tazewell High School and a member of the Flag Core. She was a member of Midway Church of Christ, DOC where she served as a member of the Youth Choir. Lesa worked at the Tazewell County Board of Supervisors until she had to resign due to failing health. Lesa loved her family, her children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed watching crime TV, listening to R & B (Jagged Edge and Keith Sweat). She was a diehard Pittsburg Steelers fan and wasn't afraid to let you know it. Lesa cherished life and would lend a helping hand whenever asked.
In addition to her father, Eugene Davis, she is survived by her husband, Brad Morrison; sister, Susie Davis, daughter, Leann Davis Yates and husband, Tony; sons, Leon and Deon Davis all of Winston Salem, NC; grandchildren, Anesa Yates, Jayceon Yates, and Amyia Yates; two special grandchildren, Malakhi and Jakayda Sessoms; aunt, Gloria Davis; uncles, Alfred Harris, Frank Harris and wife, Leola, and Garrett Harris; special daughters, Shanice Mizell and Leigha Adkins; special brothers, Jesse Davis and Wert Harris; special sisters, Lili Ann Davis and Tonia Harris; mother in law, Evelyn Coleman; a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Peery & St.Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA where funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM with the Reverend Sheila Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell, VA. Pallbearers are Westley Waters, McKyle Harris, Malik Davis, Drake Young, Shaquille McDonald, Donavan McDonald, Joe Sanchez, and Dominic Pope. Honorary pallbearers are Shea Moore, Emory Jordan, Wert Harris, Marvin Davis, Carl Davis, Freddie Viney, Jerome Gibson, and David Diaz.
