PRINCETON — Larry David Johnson, 66 of Princeton, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 10, 2017 at the VA Hospital in Beckley,WV.
Born April 28, 1950 in Bluefield, he was the of the late Bill and Betty Akers Johnson. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army with 26 years of service and received many honorable awards during his time of service. In 1992 Larry received an honorable discharge from the Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Roger Johnson.
Left to cherish his memory are: Reta & Jim Deel of Boise, ID, Libby & Ed Adams of Princeton, WV, Bill & Cheryl Johnson of Princeton, WV, Ann Johnson Fuller of Princeton,WV, Susie & Lonnie Stanley of Charleston,WV; Two sisters-in-law: Debbie Johnson & Drema Johnson; Very special nephew Daniel (Junior) and his little four legged dog whom he loved dearly, Beverly.  
A celebration of Larry's life will be 11 A.M. Thursday, April13, 2017 at from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory, On the Athens Road in Princeton. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
Larry will be laid to rest at the Moore Family Cemetery on Moore Hollow Road near Princeton with military graveside rites provided by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Mercer County Humane Society, 961 Shelter Road, Princeton, WV 24740.
