Lamir "Bunny" Blair, Jr., 74, of Blountville, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lamir Blair, Sr. and Sylvia Peters Blair; one son, Ronald Eugene Blair; three brothers, Ronald Allen, Victor Blair, and Douglas Ray Blair.
Bunny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He was of the Pentecostal faith, a former steel worker and owner and operator of P& J Leasing. He loved fishing, visiting at Cherokee, was an avid Facebook member, country and bluegrass music, using his ipad, Nascar and NHRA. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren and spending time driving them around on his golf cart. Bunny cherished his 66 Chevelle that he restored and won many car shows with.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Phyllis Jean Blair; five sons, Ricky Blair and wife Teresa, of Sawyer, MI, Jimmy Lamir Blair and wife Mary, of Statesville, NC, Douglas Ray Blair and wife Teresa, of Iaeger, WV, Jerry Blair and wife Carol, of Mosheim, TN, and Jeffrey Wayne Blair and wife Tiny, of Portage, IN; special daughter-in-law, Carol Dotson McMillan, of Bristol, TN; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Williams and husband Charles, of Cordova, AL, and Della Mae Meade, of Princeton, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home in Bristol, TN.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home with Pastor Don Morgan officiating.
Committal Service and Interment will follow at Eastern Heights Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his sons, Ricky, Jimmy, Doug, Jerry, Jeffrey, and his grandsons, Braxton and Bradley.
The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff and doctors at Bristol Regional Medical Center, as well as Bristol Lifesaving Crew for all their love and kindness shown.
