Jennifer Vinson Honts McGhee

Bluefield, WV- Jennifer Vinson Honts McGhee, 71, passed away on November 20, 2017 after a long illness, at Westwood Center in Bluefield, VA.
Born July 22, 1946, in Bluefield, WV, she was the only child of Robert G. Honts and Nora Vee Thacker Honts.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Judge John R. (Jack) McGhee.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Juliana Hash Goulet, of Auburn, Massachusetts, her grandsons Robert A. Hitrick, Jr., 2 Lt. Jacob D. Goulet, Lucas T. Goulet and her great-grandson Ryder L. Beane; her stepdaughter Allison M. Hile (Matthew) of St. Louis, MO and their son Simon Hile; her stepson John R. McGhee, Jr. (Kelly) of Charleston, WV and their children Virginia E. McGhee, Perry L. McGhee and John R. McGhee, III; Honorary daughter Lisa Pate Bilik (Joe) of Norfolk, VA and foster granddaughter Nilda Rivera Possehl.
Mrs. McGhee was a graduate of Bluefield High School and attended the University of Kentucky. She was a fashion sales representative prior to her marriage to Judge McGhee. She was an international traveler, an exceptional cook, a gifted gardener and a cat lover. Nothing made her happier than to entertain, and she was a founder of Bluefield's Appy Club. Fondly known as "GiGi" to her family, she opened her home and served as host mother to many international exchange students over several decades. She was grateful for the compassionate care provided to her by her home caregivers JoAnn Poszich and Sophia C. Hall.? A memorial service will be held at a later date.
