James F. Williams, age 85, of Bluefield, WV, passed away September 20, 2017.
He was born in Brushfork, WV; the son of the late William J. (Bill) and Gladys Ayers Williams.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, James David Williams; sisters, Louise Janutolo and Betty Arney.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 62 years, Gayle Richardson Williams; a sister, June Lineback; several nieces and nephews and a special young friend, Jacob Bishop.
James served his country proudly in the United States Air Force for 4 years and was retired from the National Electric Coil Company and the Lineback Saw Shop. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 405 West Main Street, Wytheville VA 24382.
Services to celebrate the life of James F. Williams will be held 2:00PM Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Roselawn Funeral Home, 450 Courthouse Road, Princeton WV with Rev. Colleen Montgomery and Pastor "Butch" Damewood officiating. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. Following the services James will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton.
Friends may gather with the family from 1:00PM until time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Family will receive friends at the residence as well.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in James' honor to the Salvation Army, Bluefield Union Mission, or Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Wytheville, VA.
