James Robert's Story
PRINCETON James Robert Lusk, 72, of Princeton went home to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his family, Sunday, August 20, 2017 at CAMC in Charleston.
Born July 31, 1945 at Covel, he was the son of Elsie Lusk Gent and his stepfather Rex Gent.
Mr. Lusk served with the U.S. Army National Guard for 6 years. He was a retired foreman for the WV Department of Highways overseeing the operation at the substation at Flat Top. Mr. Lusk was a member of the Salvation Through Christ Church, in Princeton. He loved to sing with the church quartet and hear the word of God preached. While his health permitted, he enjoyed traveling, camping, hunting, fishing and four wheeling. Most of all, Mr. Lusk loved and adored his family, and loved life.
Those left to cherish his memory, his loving and caring wife of 34 years, Ethel Keaton Lusk, two children: Sherry Sabo Hill & husband Sam of Oakvale, Joe A. Sabo Jr. & wife Connie of Rural Hall, NC. 2 grandchildren: Kayla Sabo & companion Jack Honaker, Jacob Pettry & companion Dezy Rumsey, one great granddaughter Kennedy Honaker along with 3 foster grandchildren and a host of cousins and special friends.
Services to celebrate the life of James Robert Lusk will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Roger Lusk officiating. Burial will follow in the Lusk Family Cemetery at Herndon.
Friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
