James "Jim" Edward Jennelle

James "Jim" Edward Jennelle, age 68 of Tazewell, VA died Friday, November 17, 2017 at his home. He was born October 26, 1949 at Endwell, WV and was a son of the late John B Jennelle, Sr. and Mable Jennelle Matney. He graduated from Big Creek High School in 1967.
Jim served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He worked as a truck driver after his time in the Army. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Lee Jennelle and a sister, Beatrice Asbury.
Those who survive to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 44 years, Linda Kitts Jennelle; four sons, Michael Jennelle and wife, Ginny, of Palm Coast, FL, Brian Jennelle of Bluefield, VA, Keith Jennelle and wife, Ladella, of Charleston, WV and Aaron Jennelle and wife, April, of Princeton, WV; half sister, Linda Boatwright and husband, Richard, of Stanley, NC; brother, John B. Jennelle, Jr. and wife, Dorothy, of Tazewell, VA; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2017 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, VA. Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 with Reverend Wayne Poston officiating. Military Honors will be provided by Barns-Beavers VFW Post #7136 in Tazewell, VA.
In honoring Mr. Jennelle's wishes, his body will be cremated and entombed in Southwest Virginia Veteran's Cemetery, Dublin, VA at a later date.
