James Terrence Fitzko Sr., 71, of Summers Street, Princeton died peacefully Monday, July 9, 2018 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born December 10, 1946 in Princeton, he was the son of the late John and Lillie Eva Davidson Fitzko.
He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Fitzko was a former coal miner having worked for Amigo Smokeless Coal Company for several years. While his health permitted, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and his horses.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Tony Fitzko. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather & brother.
Those left to cherish his memory, his wife, Ruby Vest Fitzko; Four children, Terry and Dawn Fitzko, Lillie Cecil, Lilac Fitzko, James T. Fitzko Jr. and his wife to be Ashton; Seven grandchildren; Two great-grandchildren; Five siblings, Thomas Tabor, Sandy Vestal, Kay Lilly, Linda Douglas and Tina Meadows and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services for Mr. Fitzko will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 12, 2018 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton. Following his services, the family will honor his request, he will be cremated.
