Jacqueline Frances Elswick Cole, age 87, of Reynolds Ridge, Virginia passed away on August 5, 2017 in Kingsport, Tennessee.
She was born on July 27, 1930 in Jewell Ridge, Virginia to the late William Jackson and Nannie Frances Griffith Elswick. Mrs. Cole graduated from Richlands High School in 1949 and was a former employee of the Mattie William Hospital in Richlands, Virginia. She also served her family as a homemaker.
Jacqueline was a lifelong resident of the area and a lifelong member of the Reynolds Ridge Community Church.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Wilburn Lee Cole and her son, Gary Lee Cole.
Those left to cherish her memory include: Daughters: Mary Morgan and husband, Dale of Blackwater, Virginia, Margaret Smith and husband, Rick of Milton, Florida, Cheryl Bleckley and husband, Tony of Blountville, Tennessee; Son: Wilburn "Buck" Cole and wife, Sally of Claypool Hill, Virginia; Grandchildren:
Renee MacNeil, W.J. Cole, Jr., Jesse Smith, Joshua Smith, Sarah Smith, Isaac Bleckley, Isaiah Bleckley, and Ameris Bleckley. Two Great Grandchildren and a host of additional family and friends also survive.
Funeral services for Jacqueline Frances Elswick Cole will be conducted at 7 PM on Monday, August 7, 2017 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia with Reverend Lonnie Perkins officiating. Graveside committal services will be held at 12:30PM on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at the Cole Family Cemetery on Bearwallow Road. Friends and family are asked to meet at the graveside as there will be no procession from the funeral home. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
A visitation will be held from 5 PM to 7PM on August 7, 2017 at the funeral home.
