Irene Delores Nestor Irene Delores Nestor, 93, of Princeton, died Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Ridgecare Assisted Living in Princeton. Born January 2, 1925 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Rush and Julia Brown. She was a graduate of Spanishburg High School. Irene retired from the WV Department of Highways after several years of service. She was a member of the Mercer County Farm Bureau and formerly active in Republican Party politics. She was a faithful member of Johnston Chapel Baptist Church in Princeton where she was formerly a very active and devoted Awana program volunteer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Nestor; grandsons, Michael and Matt Nestor; brother, James Edward Bryant; and daughter-in-law, Velvis Nestor.
She is survived by three sons, Rodney Nestor of Princeton, J. Daniel Nestor and wife Karen of Princeton, and Denny Nestor of Spanishburg; four grandchildren, Joseph, Jacob, Andy, and Pam Nestor; six great-grandchildren, Ezra Nestor, Alyssa Stephenson, Kelcey and Kaitlin Nestor, Summer and Trace Hamilton; two great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Stinson of Princeton.
Funeral services to celebrate Irene's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2018 at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Dan Thyng and Dr. John King officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour Friday at the funeral home.
