Hubert Bryant Kiser, 54, passed away Oct. 3, 2017 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV, after a year long battle with cancer.
He was born March 26, 1963 in Tazewell, Va. to the late Hubert and Dot Kiser of N. Tazewell, Va.
He graduated from Tazewell High School in 1981 and was a member of the Central Church of Christ, North Tazewell, Va. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1982-85. He received a General Engineering Degree from Southwest Va. Community College, an Associate of Architecture Engineering and Bachelor of Civil Engineering Technology from Bluefield State College. He worked for several different coal related businesses during his working career.
He is survived by two sons, Heath Kiser (Danielle) of Jacksonville, FL, Noah Kiser of Matheny, WV, two daughters, Crystal Call (Jeff), Rae Linkous (Robby) of Bristol, Va., seven grandchildren Ayden, Isaac, Lily Call; Harper, Emalie Kiser; Kaylee, Elliot Linkous. Two sisters, Terri Kiser Farley (Ken) North Tazewell, Va.; Karen Kiser Peters (Brent), Faxon, OK, wife Shannon of Matheny, WV and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He has donated his body to WVU cancer research in Lewisburg, WV and will be cremated at a later date with his ashes buried at the Kiser family cemetery in Russell County.
A memorial service will be held in celebration of Hubert Bryant Kiser's life at the Central Church of Christ in North Tazewell, Va., on Saturday, November 25th from one to four p.m. The family will be offering their memories in word and song.
