Helen Inez Flinchum of Princeton left this world on February 18, 2018, going away to a beautiful place where she will sing with the Angels when she enters the gate.
Born in Beeson, WV, on June 30, 1934, she was the daughter of Caros D. and Pearl Nunn Mills. As a young girl, she worked in her mother's store, Mills Grocery, in Lake Shawnee and then went on to become an employee for the Maidenform and Rockwell International. She advanced her education by completing coursework at Concord College and obtaining her real estate license.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald S. Flinchum, with whom she enjoyed 59 years of marriage. February 18th was her beloved, devoted deceased husband's birthday, and she greeted him in the heavens, glowing with the Love of God. Additional deceased family members include her brothers: Earnest Mills, Dorsie Lee Mills, Dale Mills and Garnet Mills; and her sister, Bernice Simmons.
Helen was a spirit filled Christian and she lived to tell His Story. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda Darlene Flinchum Smith and her husband Jay of New London, NC; her son, Ronald Keith Flinchum and his wife Elaine of Princeton, WV; grandchildren and spouses include, Marquita and Todd Shrewsbury, Tiffany Neilson, Joshua and Laura Smith, Anthony and Jessica Weiss, Paige Flinchum, Tara Flinchum and Heather Flinchum; great-grandchildren Alexandria Smith, Katelyn Burrows, Faith De' La' Vega, MM2/E5 Dakota Perdue, Chase Neilson, Ethan Neilson, Aidan Smith, Declan Smith, Reaghan Weiss and Cabe Weiss; her sister, Norma Jean Mills; and her sister-in-law, Betty Mills.
A celebration of Helen's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Robby Shorter officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Princeton. Pallbearers for Ms. Flinchum will be Greg Phipps, Anthony Taylor, Joey Farley, Anthony Weiss, Todd Shrewsbury, and Steven Perkins.
