Helen Louise Dillard was born July 19, 1924 in North Wilkesboro, NC to the late Elmore and Minister Carrie Beckner. She died peacefully on May 8, 2017 after a brief illness.
She was a longtime resident of Kimball, WV and was a faithful member of the Mask Chapel Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon James Dillard and her daughter, Barbara Lockett. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her daughters, Odessa Foddrell and husband Alphonso of Conover, NC, Deborah Bushnell and husband Ronald of Kimball and Claudine Dillard and Yvonne Dillard both of New York City, NY; her son, Tyrone Dillard of Kimball; grandchildren, Shatone Bailey and husband James of Durham, NC and Rosalyn Lockett of Greensboro, NC; special church friend she considered a daughter, Beverly McDaniel of Gary, WV; and a host of nephews, nieces and other family members.
She is remembered fondly and with love as a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and neighbor.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Littlesburg Road, Bluefield. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:30AM until the service hour on Saturday.
