PRINCETON Harrison Sizemore Jr. 91, of Princeton died peacefully at his home early Friday morning, December 8, 2017 with his family by his side.
Born in 1926, he was the son of the late Harrison Sizemore Sr. & Nancy Sizemore.
Mr. Sizemore was a veteran of World War II serving in the Philippines and the occupation of Japan with the U.S. Army. Mr. Sizemore was retired chief electrician with Consol Coal at Itmann for 28 years, and a federal mine inspector for 10 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: William Sizemore & Emmett Sizemore; and three sisters, Mary Sizemore, Virginia McKinney & Martha McKinney. He was the last surviving member of his family.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years Dora Hylton Sizemore; two sons, Harrison Sizemore III & wife Donna of Lashmeet, Wayne Sizemore & wife Donna of Benson, NC; and one daughter, Wanda Young & husband William of Princeton; 7 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren;13 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Services to celebrate the life of Harrison Sizemore Jr., will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 11, 2017 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Carl Ray Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends may call Monday from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
