Gordon "Micky" Caldwell

Gordon "Micky" Caldwell, 71, of Bluefield, WV, went to be with his Savior and joined the Heavenly Host on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Micky served in the U.S. Airforce, active and inactive duty, from 1964-1970. He retired from N&S after 28 years of service and was a lifelong resident of Bluefield, WV. He was an active member of Cross Roads Church, Bluefield, WV, where he loved his church family. He had a passion for classic cars and was an enthusiastic member of Bluestone Car Club. Micky was proud to be a veteran and loved his country. He never met a stranger and loved to meet and talk to people. His love for his family was unmeasurable.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Caldwell, Sr and Hazel Marie Caldwell, sister, Brenda Marshall and many aunts and uncles.
He will be forever missed by his devoted wife: Carol Kirk Caldwell; daughter: Crystal Caldwell White and Tim of Christiansburg, VA; son: Brian Caldwell and Dana Basham Caldwell of Roanoke, VA; step-daughters: Dianna Pierce Arnold of the home, Donna Pierce Webb and Donnie of Rural Retreat, VA; special son: Michael Lane and Susan Brinkley Lane of Oak Ridge, NC; his loving grandkids: Mandy Arnold and Nick Swearingen, Cody Caldwell, HaLee Bowden and Jake, Courtney Dingess, Cameron Caldwell, Jason Dix, Emily Dix, Cacy Caldwell, Amanda Lane; great grandkids: Cara Swearingen, Jaxon Swearingen, Natalee Grace Bowden and Claire Caldwell; niece and nephew: Cindy Marshall of Florida and Steve Marshall of Orlando, FL.
A service to celebrate Micky's life will be held Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Cross Roads Church with Pastor Travis Lowe officiating. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at Cross Roads Church from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.
Dudley Memorial is serving the Caldwell family.
