Glen C. Page, 87, of Falls Mills, VA, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 at his home. Born in Yards, VA, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary Jane Bowman Page.
Glen served his country 4 years in the United States Air Force in the Strategic Air Command during the Korean War. He retired from the United States Postal Service in Bluefield, VA after 29 years of service.
Glen was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Woolwine Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the American Legion.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Eackleane Greer.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 65 years: Colleen Wimmer Page; his daughter: Kimberly Yule and husband, Morris of Falls Mills, VA; 2 wonderful grandchildren: Jeremiah Page Yule and Courtney Elizabeth Yule of Falls Mills, VA; 2 nephews: Ronnie Greer and Randy Greer; 2 nieces: Pam Ratcliff and Debbie Mumpower, all of Smythe County; 2 special nephews: Keith Janutolo of Falls Mills, VA and Wayne Janutolo of Myrtle Beach, SC.
A service to celebrate Glen's life will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ted Anders officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens where Military Rites will be conducted by the Air Force Honor Guard and the VFW Post #9696. Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Yule, Roscoe Matney, Fred Woody, John White, Carl Burnett, Junior Peery and Morris Yule. Honorary pallbearers will be Ervin Rich, Bob Clendenin, John Payne and Charles Thomason.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday at Dudley Memorial from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of the service.
