PRINCETON Gladys Louise Starling, 88, of White School Road, Princeton died peacefully early Friday morning, February 23, 2018 at her home.
She was born February 7, 1930 in Princeton, the daughter of the late Acey William Carter and Stella Mae Six Carter.
Mrs. Starling was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she loved going to church and working with her flowers. She was a member of the Elmore Union Church near Princeton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milburn Houston Starling, three children: Linda Fry, Brenda Elmore and Joyce Howell along with five siblings: Donnie Carter Jr., Blanche Savage, Betty Delp, Jess Carter and Bobby Carter.
Those left to cherish her memory, three children, David Starling, Bill Starling and wife Vicki, Barbara Starling McGinnis and husband John, Seven grandchildren, Six great-grandchildren and one sister, Virginia White and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 25, 2018 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Don Dickerson officiating, burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends may visit with the family Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
