My memories of Gene always include Margret. Two peas in a pod. Both are hardworking people who believe in helping others. I was a lucky recipient of their kindness. Gene never saw a dog that needed a home that he didn't want to save. But it was Margrets job to bottle feed, and do the tough stuff. Lol. Gene was a smart man. Gene had a sense of humor unlike anyone I knew. Gene was. Strong idealistic man. His beliefs were his and he stood by them. Gene also had a gentle nature while loving Margret or cuddling a puppy. Gene was many things in this life but most of all -Gene touched lives of may people and animals and that strong, powerful and gentle man will be truly missed.
