BLUEFIELD Garry David "Doo" Lambert, 60, of Bluefield, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017.
Born August 10, 1957 in Columbus, OH, he was the son of the late Jack Arland and Willa Dean Eldridge Lambert.
Early in life Garry drove for coal companies and worked for the railroad. Garry was an avid WVU fan and was known to many in the community and developed relationships as the Courtesy Driver for Bill Cole Auto Mall.
While his health permitted, Garry attended Destiny Outreach in Bluefield, VA.
In addition to his father, Garry was preceded in death by a brother, Curtis Allen Lambert; nephews, Curtis Allen Lambert, Jr. and Jeremy Lambert; and brother-in-law, Samuel Nunnery III.
Survivors include his mother, Willa Dean Eldridge Lambert; sister, Colleen Nunnery of Princeton; nephews, Samuel W. Nunnery IV and Justin Michael Nunnery; great nephew, Isiah Styles Lawless; adopted brother and caretakers, Robbie and Lori Warner; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Steve Grant and Pastor Scott Hall officiating. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Garden Mausoleum, Princeton.
Friends may visit with the family Tuesday from 12:30 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
Family & friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the American Cancer Society, 1700 MacCorkle Ave., SE, 3rd Floor, Charleston, WV 25314.
The Lambert family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on Athens Road in Princeton.
